Educational holidays and field trips
Iceland Naturalist organises and implements study and
educational visits to Iceland. Students learn about the
geography and geology of our fascinating North Atlantic
island. We operate tours for groups large and small, and
which range in ability from children studying basic
geography to post-graduate students of geology. Teachers
should contact us to discuss opportunities for field
studies.
UK Schools
Iceland Naturalist is proud to be associated with the
'Discover the Living Planet'
educational programme of field trips run by UK travel
company, Discover the World. We provide them with
their flagship 'standard scheme' services in Iceland
and have been doing so for many years.
The programme follows accepted educational requirements
and is coordinated and administered by professional
teachers. The programme includes comprehensive teaching
materials and worksheets for selected study sites.
Additionally, we run Discover the Living Planet's courses
on continued professional development for teachers.
